Noah's Wedding

"Noah's Wedding" is a video and photography work that integrates real-life shooting with artificial intelligence technology. In this piece, I discuss how my self-identity should be defined within intimate relationships. The story of Noah originates from the "Book of Genesis" in the Christian Bible, with the tale of "Noah's Ark." Noah and his wife were chosen by God and, following divine instructions, constructed a large vessel. They led a multitude of animals onto the ark and drifted at sea, ultimately saving their family and the animals from a catastrophic global flood.

I have borrowed the imagery of the flood in this narrative, using my childhood experience as a flower child at a wedding to envision a chaotic underwater wedding. In the film, I hold flowers and am the first to sense the onset of the flood, but the indifference of the adults leaves me feeling lost and helpless. In the end, everyone is submerged by water, and the bride turns into a string of bubbles and vanishes. I am not only the reconstructor of memories but also the questioner of my own independence within intimate relationships.
